The Designer is an original thinker who conceives creative concepts and translates them into a visual format. Working in the Creative Services Department, the Designer is a team player who is skilled in matching strategic direction with appropriate design results for the Internet and Web-based marketing initiatives. Attention to detail, combined with a strong working knowledge of design-related applications is essential.

• Designing solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives
• Creating interactive design concepts
• Designing: mood boards; storyboards; interactive page layouts; site grids and interface demos; photo retouching and enhancements; animated GIFs
• Providing quality assurance on creative deliverablesBuilding and maintaining a team rapport with creative team personnel, account managers, & project managers

• Strong design portfolio with 2+ years education, 1+ years design and interactive work experience
• Developed and diverse communication skills
• Ability to articulate creative ideas
• Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines
• A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of Mac OS, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Understanding of the strengths and limitations of Flash, After Effects, QuickTime, Director, and ImageReady
• An understanding of information architecture and hierarchy
• Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the Web
• Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
• Passion for and commitment to the profession of visual communication
• Solid footing on the line between creative expression and commercial reality
• Illustration in both electronic and traditional media is an asset
• Motion graphics experience for the Web and video is an asset

You will be working in a fast-paced, highly-skilled team environment and will be responsible for producing browser-based software solutions to realize website design and interface concepts. You have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and are always looking for the best way to do something. Berners-Lee, Cederholm, Zeldman, Shea, and Meyers are prophets.

• 3+ years demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in working within a team environment
• Substantial experience with client service
• Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues, DOM and web standards
• Experience working in a Mac/PC environment
• An excellent ability to deal with people at all levels and build trust and confidence with management and employees
• Samples of your previous work are required in your application

• Experience with JSP, ASP, PHP, or CFM
• Experience with XML, XSL/XSLT, and DTD or Schema validation
• Familiar with OO programming
• Familiarity with source code control systems
• Familiarity with web-based testing and QA processes
• GUI design experience
• Experience with AJAX would be an asset

The Art Director is responsible for conceptual development and the execution of creative deliverables. These responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies, developing interactive design solutions and managing creative production work ensuring high quality output. Reporting to the Creative Director, The Art Director will work with and lead a collaborative team of designers, motion designers, illustrators and production specialists. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, this person will demonstrate an ability to present and justify concepts to both the client and the project team.

• Developing concepts and communicating ideas.
• Directing & delegating to core creative services disciplines (design, illustration, design production and copywriting).
• Managing and improving creative production flows and processes.
• Improving design craft and overall quality of creative deliverables.
• Providing quality assurance of all creative deliverables.
• Mentoring and coaching team members through project development and performance management.
• Building and maintaining a rapport with clients, partner agencies and other vendors.
• Contribute to the innovative development of the creative department.

• Strong design portfolio with 4+ years education, 4+ years design and interactive work experience.
• Experience leading a team of designers, illustrators and production specialists to creative excellence.
• Well-developed communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English, oral and written.
• Ability to think creatively and justify concepts to clients and team members.
• Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
• A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of Mac OS, Photoshop and Illustrator (CS5).
• Understanding of the strengths and limitations of Flash, After Effects, QuickTime, ImageReady, Final Cut Pro.
• Comprehensive understanding of interactivity, social media, mobile, OLA, HTML5, JavaScript, SEO.
• Great attitude, ability to inspire the team, willing to share and mentor other team members.
• Experience working with international clients and internal partners in multiple offices.
