Project Manager

The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the successful development of solutions, working with cross-functional, multi-project team resources to ensure solutions are delivered on-time and on budget according to defined scope, timeline and cost parameters. The Project Manager plans, schedules and controls all project activities toward these objectives, applying technical, theoretical and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while building positive professional relationships with clients and associates.

Responsibilities:

  1. Define, communicate and manage project scope
  2. Create and maintain a project schedule to help define team activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements
  3. Forecast, track and manage project budgets
  4. Define, implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables
  5. Manage quality trade-offs
  6. Acquire appropriate resources to meet project needs
  7. Manage client, third-party vendor relationships
  8. Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables
  9. Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks
  10. Liaising with remote project teams in North American or Europe
  11. Assisting Hangar teams in securing and transferring necessary assets to/from North American and European sources

Required Skills:

  1. 2+ years of experience as a Product, Program or Project Manager managing software or interactive web development
  2. Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional product teams within budgetary and schedule constraints
  3. Demonstrated experience managing external and internal clients
  4. Knowledge of Project Management principles, methods and techniques
  5. Knowledge of software/internet development lifecycle
  6. Ability to strategically and tactically organize and structure activities, paying particular attention to detail
  7. Ability to handle multiple planned and unplanned projects, roles and responsibilities
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English is paramount

Desired Skills:

  1. Experience with MS Project and Visio would be an asset
Information Architect

The Information Architect plays an integral role in the development of our clients' web sites. Working closely with all in-house teams, the Information Architect will contribute to the planning process of various Web sites by organizing information, developing Web site architectures, and developing labeling/search systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing research on competitive Web sites, existing Web initiatives, past Web projects and consumer research
  2. Synthesize research findings to aid the project team developing the Web site architecture
  3. Collaborating with project team members and clients to develop organizational/structural concepts for Web site projects
  4. Translating concepts into effective information architectures
  5. Developing plans that production teams can use to help guide their work
  6. Collaborating on the development of labeling/search systems
  7. Preparing IA documentation (site architectures, wire frames, use cases and task flows, etc.) to be used by the production team

Required Skills:

  1. Related industry experience in new media, information technology, communications, or library/information science
  2. Effective communication skills, both orally and in a variety of written and diagrammatic forms
  3. Proven understanding of and experience with: user-centered design techniques; development of organizational/structural concepts for Web site; project processes for the development of large scale Web site projects; documentation requirements for Web development teams; application of content management, personalization, targeting and searching systems
  4. Experience with: software development process/business analysis; user research, usability practices and testing preferred
  5. Experience in working within a team environment
  6. An excellent ability to deal with people at all levels and build trust and confidence with management and employees
  7. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse demands
Senior Internet Developer

Working closely with local and remote technology and project management teams, the Sr. Internet Developer is responsible for leading front-end development on large marketing websites, managing developers on the team, and ensuring quality and schedules. The Sr. Internet Developer works with the head of the Technology Department to set and enforce development standards and guidelines, assist with staff training, and operate as a mentor for more junior staff. Within projects, the Developer handles documentation requests, solution architectures, and coordinates development tasks within a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Developing HTML, JavaScript and CSS to implement designs
  2. Developing new code and working with existing code
  3. Integration with backend systems and providing basis for Flash
  4. Leading front-end development
  5. Managing developers on the team
  6. Ensuring delivery of the work on time and with very good quality

Required Skills:

  1. 3+ years experience in interactive development for North American or European clients
  2. Expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  3. Strong understanding of Flash (incl. Flex and Flash Remoting)
  4. Strong skills with any of PHP, ASP, or JSP
  5. Strong team leadership skills is required
  6. Fully bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred

Desired Skills:

  1. Experience with Java and/or C#.NET
  2. Good understanding of database development, exp w/ MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
  3. Experience with XML, XSL/XSLT, and DTD or Schema validation
  4. Familiar with OO programming
  5. Familiarity with source code control systems
  6. Familiarity with web-based testing and QA processes

Web Developer

The Web Developer is responsible for producing browser-based software solutions to realize website design and interface concepts. You have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and are always looking for the best way to do something. Berners-Lee, Cederholm, Zeldman, Shea, and Meyers are prophets.

  1. Developing HTML and CSS to implement designs
  2. Developing new code and working with existing code
  3. Integration with backend systems and providing basis for Flash
  4. Image production, HTML email generation, and campaign management

Required Skills:

  1. 3+ years experience as a Flash developer in an agency environment
  2. Demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  3. Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues, DOM and web standards
  4. Experience working in a Mac/PC environment
  5. Experience in working within a team environment
  6. An excellent ability to deal with people at all levels and build trust and confidence with management and employees
  7. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse demands

Desired Skills:

Flash Developer

The Flash Developer builds Flash pieces using Macromedia Flash for Web-based, desktop and wireless delivery. Using the Macromedia Flash authoring tool, flash developers architect, design and execute the framework, components and script that compromise Flash projects. The Flash Developer works to balance technical requirements with creative needs, is expected to code with re-usability in mind, research and implement innovative scripting techniques and be up to speed on the latest Flash enhancements and versions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborating with creative and technical team members to determine the most appropriate, robust implementation of Flash
  2. Implementation of Flash solutions using ActionScript 2 and 3
  3. Problem-solving in all areas of Flash development

Required Skills:

  1. 3+ years experience as a Flash developer in an agency environment
  2. Expertise in Flash development methodologies (i.e. ActionScript OOP implementation, component development, XML communication, etc.)
  3. Flash animation, video and design knowledge and expertise
  4. Creative toolset knowledge (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  5. Web technology knowledge (i.e. XML, HTML, DHTML, server side scripting and applications, databases)
  6. Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Quality Assurance Specialist

Working closely with project managers and local/remote development teams, the Quality Assurance Specialist candidate will have solid experience with manual testing methodologies and associated defect tracking tools. Will represent the QA department in a project team capacity, and will be responsible for quality advocacy, planning, implementation, testing and validation, quality reporting and metrics. Should be an active contributor in a collaborative team environment, and passionate about the quality of our work, our clients, and our culture.

Responsibilities:

  1. 1+ years of experience in formal testing methodologies, including preparation of formal testing plans, cases and bug reporting
  2. Ability to work on multiple projects & clients as a QA representative
  3. Perform integration, functionality, system, regression, load and acceptance testing using manual methods and testing tools
  4. Perform business and functional requirements verification
  5. Meticulous nature; displaying a penchant for detail and precision
